I’ve been with HRA and our sister company FlexExecs for almost seven years. I oversee individual recruiting projects that involve hiring for 25 to 100 positions. Recently I have been working with clients in advertising, manufacturing, and construction.

A project team typically includes associates who source candidates, create positions, and review resumes, the person who is sourcing, who posts the positions, who oversees resume reviews as they come back. My job is about people helping people--both clients and candidates.

Recruiting is a process. From initial screening to reference checking, HRA has developed a wonderful, repeatable process that works. We focus on our relationships with our clients and are like having an extra arm. We present well-vetted and qualified candidates to our clients, and that makes their jobs easier.

Even though I’m a project manager, this is still recruiting, and I always get a charge out of completing a hire. I’ve grown up with the company, and I love it here. My best tip to clients is to give me as much detailed information up front about the position before we start so that we can do the best job of matching candidates and needs.

I’ve been with FlexExecs and HRA for 10 years. I began in recruiting and am now working on establishing strong client partnerships with new and existing customers.

I am focused on ensuring that our current clients are happy and satisfied and on understanding how HRA can improve and expand our service to them. I also help new clients understand our tools and process and work to customize our offerings to meet their unique needs.

Our clients like doing business with us and it gives me a good feeling when they pass our name along to their customers. It’s not unusual for me to receive a call from a company who is growing fast and needs recruiting help or from an HR department who is ready to outsource some of their functions.

My best tip to clients is to investigate how your company might engage outside expertise to further your recruiting and human resources goals. Ask your clients and partners for referrals of HR and recruiting consultants who have served them well. Then talk to those referrals to find out what’s available that might help you do your job more efficiently and successfully.
